From April 8 to 10, Elodie Blanchard and Thibault Catry, from the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD) and members of the MangMap project, participated in the User Consultation Meeting for the ESA Coastal Blue Carbon project, held at the European Space Agency (ESA-ESRIN) in Frascati.

These three days provided an opportunity to present the project’s results, gather user feedback, and discuss future directions.

Particular attention was given to the results of remote sensing-based mapping of mangrove habitats and carbon stocks in the Guiana Shield.

These fruitful discussions, at the intersection of scientific and operational challenges, aim to advance knowledge and the utilization of blue carbon.
